2007-2015: Elected California State Assembly Delegate, never missed or abstained from a vote. I was a member of the Progressive, LGBTQ+, Women’s, and Labor Caucuses. 2005-present: Founding member and President of the Ventura County Women’s Forum Collaborative.
2005-present: Member of the League of Women Voters.
2002-present: Active member of the American Association of University Women, Camarillo.

2013: “Women’s Leadership Award” honors from CSUCI Multicultural Programs for her work in STEM
2016: “Woman of the Year” honors from State Senator Hannah Beth Jackson for professional & civic leadership
Under my leadership, ACHS won numerous awards from the state of CA, including Gold Ribbon status and numerous civic learning awards. We won the United Blood Service Donation Drive every year I was principal. We ranked in the top 14% of high schools in the state and top 8% in the nation (according to US News and World Report).
